Andy Kent

Andy Kent has been the Senior Internet Writer for MiamiDolphins.com, the official team Web site of the Miami Dolphins, since June 2007 and he also co-hosts a regular online TV show called FINS-TV. He covered his fifth Super Bowl, but first for the site, at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami and was the AFC East blogger for AOL FanHouse for the 2010-11 season

As an independent contractor since March 2007, Andy has contributed to numerous publications, including The New York Times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Miami Herald, The Boston Globe, The Newark Star-Ledger, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, Knoxville News-Sentinel, New Orleans Times-Picayune, The Palm Beach Post, Philadelphia Daily News, the Naples Daily News, North County (Calif.) Times and the Seattle Times. He is a regular contributor to Dolphin Digest, a weekly publication, the Associated Press, and has done lengthy features for Boca Raton Magazine.

Prior to splashing on the scene as a go-to freelancer, Andy spent 13 years in the newspaper industry as a sports editor, writer and columnist and covered four Super Bowls, a Stanley Cup Final, the 2000 Sugar Bowl/national championship and the 2002 Winter Olympics. He was an NFL beat writer covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1999-2004 and an ECHL hockey beat writer for the Florida Everblades for eight seasons (1999-2006).

In the summer of 2009, Andy partnered with Samuel Chi and Jill R. Dorson to form Sports Media Exchange.
